Golf course information and facilities

Lauro Golf is a superb 27 hole course set amongst acres of old olive groves with the Sierra de Mijas mountains as a backdrop. Lauro has all the facilities you would expect from a golf course including golf shop, changing rooms, club house and a brand new driving range.

Al fresco dining in an Andalucian courtyard

There is a restaurant with a wonderful court yard – perfect for al fresco dining. The restaurant is open from 8 am and closes around 8pm in the evenings.

Every hour is happy hour in Bar La Risa

There is also a smaller restaurant/venta called La Risa (which means laughter) next to the swimming pool which serves a selection of meals, homemade cakes, smoothies, frappés and any other drink you might fancy. La Risa is open till around midnight every night and is a popular meeting place with residents, golfers and holiday makers.

Swimming, tennis and bowls

Apart from the swimming pools, Lauro Golf also offers petanque and paddle tennis, with two brand new courts in addition to the existing ones. The new bowls club is due to open in the spring of 2009 and there’s an equestrian centre on the edge of the golf course.

Handy for the beach and the shops

Lauro Golf is ideally set between the towns of Alhaurín el Grande and Alhaurín de la Torre and you can reach both towns in under 10 minutes. Lauro Golf is handy for the coast and you can easily get to Marbella (35 mins) Fuengirola (25 mins), Benalmádena (25 mins), Torremolinos (20 mins) and Mijas old town (15 mins).

Málaga airport is a comfortable 20 minutes drive with the city of Málaga another 10 minutes further on.
